How To Calculate For Academic Year GPA

Calculating Your Overall Academic Year GPA

To determine your GPA for the entire academic year, follow these steps:

Add Each Semester GPA: Sum the GPA from each semester you’ve completed.
Divide by the Number of Semesters: Divide this sum by the number of semesters you have completed.

Example Calculation:

If a student has the following semester GPAs:

Semester 1 GPA: 3.2
Semester 2 GPA: 3.5
Semester 3 GPA: 3.0

Step 1: Add the semester GPAs together: [ 3.2 + 3.5 + 3.0 = 9.7 ]

Step 2: Divide by the number of semesters completed: [ \frac{9.7}{3} = 3.23 ]
