The management of the Greater Accra Regional Education Directorate congratulates all the 46 Senior High Schools, Senior High Technical Schools, and STEM schools on their role played in the successful completion of the Professional Learning Community sessions Handbook 1 &2 across all the schools and the Departmental Professional Learning Community (DPLC) training held from 6th – 10th May, 2024, for all department representatives/facilitators in the region. The sessions are to be conducted in departmental groupings with a facilitator leading the process within the respective departments.

The management of the Greater Accra Regional Education Directorate underscores the importance of the weekly DPLC sessions and directs that all schools commence on Monday 27t May 2024. All Heads of schools should ensure the implementation of these sessions with high-quality delivery standards imparted to the school based facilitators during the training. Heads should ensure that all teaching staff participate regularly in the weekly sessions without fail. Participation in the weekly sessions is compulsory.

All schools are to use the first week to focus on session zero Mandatory Online Sexual Harassment and Prevention Training for Teachers. The training is meant to strengthen teachers’ knowledge and awareness as well as impact of sexual harassment in the schools The Regional Director and the Regional Monitoring Team will continue to visit schools and quality assure the DPLC sessions in the region. We anticipate your usual cooperation and compliance.
